SMI-SD8000
Programmable Through Feed Notch Saw Model SMI-SD8000
The Model SMI-SD8000 Programmable Through Feed Notch Saw features servo controlled programmable blade path for miter cutting vinyl window profiles. Auxiliary notching blades mounted on the saw tabletop perform jamb notching for sloped sill products. The feeder system is a proven design used on a number of Stürtz saws. The feeder will accept 21' lineals and can be provided with two or four gripper assemblies. A linear encoder feedback system ensures accurate, reliable and repeatable positioning of the lineals.
Standard features include a Hewlett Packard PC in an industrial enclosure with internal modem, CD drive and a network card. The operating system allows for assignment of a website address which, when activated will allow a Stürtz technician to log into the computer remotely for troubleshooting, diagnostics or software updates. The computer will accept production files over the network, via diskette or by manual data entry.
A flexible fabrication cell is available which can be reprogrammed in the field if fabrication requirements change. Proprietary lineal optimization software and rest piece management software are also available.
