Stürtz Service Department Update
Stürtz continues to upgrade and improve our service and spare parts support for our customers. The beginning of 2007 saw a reorganization of the service group to help provide more thorough and reliable phone support as well as make our internal communication and processes in the department smoother and more efficient.
Stürtz’ Technical Manager Don Johnsen, heads up the service group. Don is also responsible for our software and electrical engineering which he has pulled into service to improve our phone support and speed the resolution of customer issues. Don is also active in phone support and travels as required.
Kevin Schwartz was promoted to the position of Service Coordinator where he provides support to the whole group. In addition to his travel and direct on-site technical service, Kevin spends his non-travel time heading up our phone support. When in-house, Kevin also works to schedule the service group and ensure our customers are receiving the best service possible.
In addition to Don and Kevin, Bob Beardslee and Ed Simmons from our software group and Steve Warner from our production group are playing a greater role in service. Bob, Steve, and Ed are active in phone support and are spending more time providing field support for our customers.
These individuals join our Service Engineers; Marcel Diaconu, Barry Kalb and Tony Rios, to make up an effective and customer focused team to make sure our customers get the support they need. All of these gentlemen can be reached at SMI’s main office in Solon, OH at 440-248-4009.
